Our efforts go beyond upcycling because the future lies in a textile circular economy, which can only be achieved through fiber-to-fiber recycling. On this page you can learn more about our jeans recycling program and how together we can have a positive impact on the environment.

Our contribution to recycling

An important part of our sustainable approach is the recycling of denim . Instead of simply throwing away old denim, we give it the chance to be recycled in a closed loop. We take some of the jeans we collect to Texaid, a renowned company that specializes in textile recycling. Find out more about their work at: texaid.at

Recycling into new cotton yarn

Advanced recycling techniques mean that certain denim fabrics can be reprocessed to make new cotton yarn . This process allows us to give new life to old denim fabrics and conserve resources. By recycling the raw material, we help reduce waste and protect our environment.

Recycled cotton in our collection

From the 2023 collection, we will use denim fabrics with around 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled cotton. A 100% recycled cotton content is possible, but less durable due to shorter fibers. That's why we mix recycled fibers with new cotton fibers. This combination reduces the consumption of new cotton and contributes to sustainable production without compromising the durability of the jeans.

Our vision of a sustainable fashion industry

We are convinced that sustainability and fashion belong together. With our jeans recycling program, we want to take a pioneering role in the industry and show that high-quality clothing can be produced in an environmentally friendly way. Our goal is to integrate more and more recycled materials into our collections in order to contribute to environmental protection.

With every recycled denim and every use of recycled cotton, we are setting an example for the responsible use of resources. Together we can make the fashion industry more sustainable and create a better future.
