Wie wasche ich meine Jeans am Besten?

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO WASH MY JEANS?

Jeans are durable garments that should be carefully cared for to extend their life and maintain their appearance. Here are some important steps and tips to properly clean your jeans:

  1. BEFORE WASHING:
Turn the jeans inside out before washing to protect the surface and the colors.
  1. WASHING CYCLE:
Use the gentle cycle or delicate wash program on your washing machine to minimize stress on the fabric.
For jeans with elastane content, choose a washing temperature of 30°C.
Jeans made of 100% cotton can also withstand temperatures up to 60°C, but it should be noted that they may shrink slightly if the temperature is too hot.
  1. LAUNDRY DETERGENT:
Use a mild liquid detergent designed for dark or colored clothes.
Avoid using bleach and fabric softeners as these can damage the color and fabric.
  1. SPINNING AND DRYING:
Reduce the spin speed to 800 revolutions to minimize stretching of the fabric. This is especially true for jeans with elastane content.
Avoid drying jeans in direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Ideally, air dry your jeans by laying them flat or hanging them in a well-ventilated area.
Jeans made of 100% cotton can also be tumble dried on a gentle cycle at a low temperature.
  1. IRONING AND CARE:
If necessary, iron your jeans on the back or use an ironing cloth to avoid direct contact between the iron and the fabric.
Avoid excessive ironing as high heat can damage the fabric.
  1. STAIN REMOVAL:
Treat stains immediately with a mild stain remover or soapy water before they have a chance to penetrate the fabric.
To avoid damaging the fabric, gently dab the stain rather than rubbing.
  1. WASHING FREQUENCY:
Jeans do not need to be washed after every wear, about 6 wears are enough. In between, you can air them out or brush them lightly to remove dust and odors.

Important: New jeans can bleed, especially dark jeans!

By following these steps, you can keep your jeans in good condition and maximize their lifespan.
