Our ESG Guideline – Taking Responsibility at TORLAND

At TORLAND, we believe that entrepreneurial success must go hand in hand with social and environmental responsibility. Therefore, in 2024, we developed a comprehensive ESG policy that shapes and guides our actions in the areas of environment, social, and governance .
Why an ESG guideline?
Our ESG policy is more than just an internal set of rules – it is our commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices . It defines clear principles and goals that we consistently pursue. We want our actions to bring about positive change – for the environment, for our employees, for society, and for future generations.
What is behind the guideline?
The ESG Guideline is divided into three key areas:
Governance – Responsible action
We are committed to ethical conduct, integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement. Our five brand values— responsibility, freedom, collaboration, innovation, and quality —are firmly embedded in our processes. We select suppliers based on ecological and social criteria, promote fair working conditions, and rely on environmentally friendly production processes. A due diligence process helps us identify risks early and actively counteract them.
Environmental – Protect the environment and conserve resources
Sustainability begins with the selection of our materials. We use organic cotton and recycled fibers , largely eliminate packaging, and offer repair and return services for worn jeans. Our goal is a closed resource cycle (cradle-to-cradle) and a CO2-neutral value chain . In our everyday lives, we focus on environmentally conscious behavior – from the use of organic cleaning products to the use of renewable energy.
Social – Being there for people
We create a working environment based on respect, equality, and trust . Our employees not only act in accordance with our values, they actively shape them. Health, safety, and employee participation are essential to us. Furthermore, we are socially engaged, raising awareness about the impacts of the textile industry, and promoting sustainable consumption – not just for a small niche, but for society at large.

For us, sustainability isn't an option; it's a given. We want to demonstrate that fashion and responsibility are compatible – through conscious material selection, fair supply chains, transparent communication, and innovative circular concepts.
